Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
At CreditGenius we use our own and third-party cookies to ensure the correct functioning of our website, to analyse how you use our services, and in some cases to show you advertising related to your preferences. Below we explain what cookies are, what we use them for, how long they last and how you can manage them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, mobile phone or tablet) when you visit them. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so that you do not have to re-enter them each time you visit the site or navigate from one page to another.
What do we use cookies for?
Cookies are used for several purposes:
- Functionality. They allow the website to function correctly, managing the security of your sessions and protecting against cross-site request forgery.
- Analytics. They help us analyse trends and understand how our website is used, which pages are visited and how long users spend on them, enabling us to continuously improve our services.
- Performance. They monitor application performance and detect technical errors to ensure your experience is smooth and uninterrupted.
- Marketing. They allow us to evaluate the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to deliver relevant content.
How long do cookies last?
The length of time cookies remain on your device depends on the type of cookie:
- Session cookies exist only until you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain in effect until the expiry date set, or until you delete them (for example by clearing your browsing history or through your browser settings).
The lifespan of our persistent cookies does not exceed 12 months from the date of your last visit to the website.
The lifespan of third-party cookies is defined by each provider and may vary significantly. Third parties may update their products, change the lifespan and functionality of cookies at any time.
Essential website cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with the website and the service, and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas. Because they are strictly necessary, you cannot refuse them; otherwise the website or service may not function correctly. However, you can block or delete them by changing your browser settings as described below.

Marketing cookies
These cookies are used to show you more relevant advertisements. They perform functions such as preventing the same advert from appearing repeatedly, ensuring that adverts display correctly, and in some cases selecting adverts based on your interests.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads | Google AdSense | Stores advertising preferences and controls the frequency of adverts shown to the user. | 13 months |
__gpi | Google AdSense | Stores information about interactions with adverts to optimise the advertising experience. | 13 months |
Third parties develop these services independently, so we cannot know the precise technical details of how their cookies work. In addition to the list above, third parties may add other cookies with similar characteristics. Exact information can be found on the respective providers’ websites.
Google Consent Mode (Consent Mode v2)
This site uses Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your choice before activating analytics and marketing cookies:
- Denied by default. Until you give your consent, all Google consent signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization) are set to “denied”. Google does not write analytics or advertising cookies and does not use data to personalise adverts.
- Updated according to your choice. When you accept or reject categories in the cookie banner, we transmit that decision to Google and the relevant signals are updated accordingly.
- Cookie-free measurements. Even if you decline, Google may receive anonymous, cookie-free signals (known as “modelling pings”) for a brief interval after the page loads. These signals do not store information on your device and do not allow you to be identified; they are used solely to estimate conversions and traffic in aggregate and on a statistical basis.
- ad_user_data and ad_personalization signals. These two signals, introduced by Consent Mode v2, tell Google whether it may use data for advertising and ad personalisation purposes. They remain “denied” unless you accept the marketing category.
How to manage cookies through your browser
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of the site, which reopens the cookie settings panel.
Most web browsers accept cookies automatically, but also provide controls that allow you to block or delete them. Please note that if you disable essential cookies, some features of the website may not be available.
Below are links to the cookie settings for the most common browsers:
If you wish to manage settings for other browsers, please consult the specific documentation for each one.
How to opt out of third-party cookies
In addition to browser settings, you can disable third-party cookies directly from the providers’ sites:
